Years of Dedication and Impact
For over seven years, we have championed the cause of older persons in society, addressing their spiritual, physical, social, psychological, and economic needs while advocating for policies that protect them from marginalization, neglect, and abuse.
Our Journey Unfolds: Key achievements that define our legacy:

Since our establishment, EFA has grown substantially while staying true to our founding principles. We have:
Advanced policy advocacy and legislative reforms for older persons’ welfare, collaborating with Social Impact Development Solutions (SIDS) to present policy recommendations to the Ministry of Social Health and Protection.
Championed the transformation of societal attitudes toward aging, promoting dignity and respect for older persons through community engagement and awareness programs rooted in African cultural values.
Forged strategic alliances with key partners including Redemptorist Solidarity Office (RSO), St. Peter Claver Sisters, Electricaid, KCDF, Helpage, Living Water(US),Indomie and Redes Esperanza to amplify our outreach and maximize impact for vulnerable older persons.
Developed comprehensive support systems spanning five counties – Nakuru, Kisumu, Nairobi, Kisii, and Tharaka Nithi – reaching over 5,000 older persons through integrated healthcare, livelihood programs, and emergency response services.
Our Foundation Story

Built on the Redemptorist Congregation Charism, EFA upholds the preferential option for the aged and poor, emphasizing human dignity and the sanctity of life through Catholic Church’s Social Teaching on liberation theology. This foundation guides our holistic approach to addressing the spiritual, physical, social, psychological, and economic needs of older persons in society.
