Stand with Kenya’s elders — every month, every year.
The floods in Ahero left 550 households of older persons without homes, food, or medicine. But the crisis does not end in 30 days. Through the Ethel Foundation Continuous Giving Programme, your monthly support creates a permanent lifeline for the elderly — from emergency relief to long-term dignity.

The floods in Ahero, Kenya
Recent flooding in Ahero, Kisumu County, severely impacted 550 households led by older persons. They lost their homes and belongings, food and basic needs, important documents, and access to medication and healthcare. Many are now caring for grandchildren without any support — feeling stressed, isolated, and unsure of what to do next.
Why ongoing support matters
Emergency aid lasts weeks. Recovery takes months. Dignity — the ability to live fully, be remembered, and stay connected — requires a community that shows up every single month. That is what this programme is built for.
Immediate relief (first 30 days)
Your first gift delivers food supplies, basic household items, temporary shelter, and medical support to flood-affected older persons
Recovery (months 1–2)
Continued giving helps replace lost items, recover lost documents, and fund emotional and caregiver support for isolated elders.
Community & dignity (month 3+)
Long-term givers fund community celebration events, storytelling programmes, and connection activities that restore dignity and belonging to older persons.

Leave a lasting legacy for Kenya’s elders.
Guardian Angels and institutional donors can establish a Named Endowment Fund with Ethel Foundation for the Aged. Your capital is preserved and professionally managed. The annual returns fund elder care, community programmes, and emergency response — in perpetuity, in your name or the name of a loved one.
